Go Green with KODAK EASYSHARE Software

St. Patrick's Day is fast approaching and once again, KODAK EASYSHARE Software comes to the rescue with a neat trick to get you into the Irish spirit. The editing toolkit has a "color balance" feature that is intended to remove a color cast from an entire picture. Traditionally, you would click the eyedropper on any neutral color, such as white, area of the photo. The tool works great for taking the yellow tint out of older, scanned photos and the blue tint out of snow scenes.

Now for the neat trick, if you click the eyedropper on any pink/red area of a photo, it will turn the picture green.

If there is not anything pink/red in the photo, simply use the add text tool and type in fuchsia colored font.

Use the eyedropper to click on the text to turn the photo green, and then crop the picture to remove the text.

You can use your green picture in a variety of ways including on your social network profile, or on personalized St. Patrick's Day photo greeting cards.

You asked for it, you got it. KODAK EASYSHARE Software, v7.1 for Windows, now with more editing tools and creative options. Download it now for free!

Comment: I have a NEW Z1085 IS Kodak Camera. I find that my Kodak CRV3 Battery discharges while my camera is turned off, using the ON/OFF button on the top of the Camera. I suspect that there is a slow drain on the battery while it is not in use. This is very expensive for me to keep replacing the Battery. My camera is only 3 months old. The user guide suggests that I remove the Battery when it is not in use. This presents another problem as the history of the Time and Date is lost and I have to go through the trouble to reset these dates and Time. My previous Kodak camera had the mode switch on top which would turn off the camera and my Batteries were never discharged. I am very unhappy with my new camera. What should I do, short of throwing this Camera away?
